EXTENDED TO TONIGHT (9/20)! The “Prepare for Exam 1” assignment is available on the course eLC website under the “Exams” tab. It is not an assignment that is worth any points. Its sole purpose is to provide you with an assignment that you can use to test your computer setup prior to the first exam. Please utilize it.

The exam is online and requires the Respondus LockDown Browser and a webcam. If you are unable or unwilling to install this software on your computer (or you do not have access to a webcam), then you may request to borrow a laptop (with webcam) online from the Miller Learning Center through the MLC Technology Lending Program. When making your request, be sure to let them know that you need it to work with Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor.

Important

If your term project team is working with a LMS and wants instructor access to an eLC course, then let Dr. Cotterell know. He has a limited number of demo courses available for use with this HCI course.

13.2. Activity

13.2.1. Work Period

The remainder of the period will be used a project work period. Please take this time to meet with your Term Project group, see how everyone is doing, discuss any relevant changes to people’s schedules, and work on finishing Term Project: Milestone 1: Problem Proposal or discuss your plan for the next milestone.

  1. Meet with your Term Project group.

  2. Work on your project.

  3. After your meeting, individually report on your progress as described below in the “After Class” section.

13.2.2. After Class

  1. Before 11:55PM today, individually respond to the items below in a followup discussion to Piazza @36.

    1. What term project group are you in?

    2. Who attended your group meeting today?

    3. In your own words, provide a brief progress report for Milestone 2 that includes any challenges you or your group faced or face and how you have or will attempt to overcome them.

  2. Continue reading the Usability module, start reading the Design module, and make sure you’re aware of current assignments and their due dates.
