1.2.1. Introduction

  1. Briefly explain breakout activities.

1.2.2. Breakout Groups

Duration: \(\sim\) 10 minutes

  1. Quickly introduce yourselfs to each other, if you don’t already know each other.

  2. Pick a group representative. This person will be responsible for posting your breakout group’s response on Piazza before breakout group work ends for this activity.

  3. Help your group representative respond to the following in a followup discussion to Piazza @6.

    1. List the full names of your breakout group members in the following format:

      Group: Name1, Name2, etc.

    2. In addition to the list of names, provide the following information about each breakout group member in a way that is neatly organized:

      1. Name

      2. Major

      3. Hometown

      4. Favorite Hobby

    3. Discuss what you think HCI might be about. What topics are the members of your group interested in and why?

  1. Look at some of the Piazza posts as a class.

1.2.4. After Class

  1. Before 11:55PM today, individually comment on another group’s post by replying to their followup discussion in Piazza @6.

  2. Start reading the Foundations module and familiarize yourself with the vocabulary. We will have our first DDQ based on course content tomorrow!

  3. Complete the Term Project: Milestone 0: IRB Training and submit your completion certificate before FRI 06-18 @ 11:55 PM.
